Grassroots Development Work in Rural India

Anja Kollmuss, SEI-US, has been working with the women’s NGO Nari Jargan Manch/Dalit Women Power in Bihar for the last 8 years. She travels there regularly to support their programs and to help implement new initiatives. She has just returned from a trip to Bihar and will give a report on the various programs: microcredit, latrines, girl’s education, etc. and talk about her experience of working with poor low cast women in Bihar.
She will also briefly talk about a CDM carbon offset project she visited in North Bihar.
