PoleStar Project

The PoleStar Project aims to advance the methods for making sustainability a practical basis for action. SEI supports this effort with the PoleStar software. Visit the PoleStar Project web site.

Bayesian Methods for Incorporating Livelihood and Poverty Issues into Development Planning

This project is building on work that was pioneered in the CPWF Mekong Basin Focal Project. The goal of the project is to develop new ways to incorporate livelihoods into quantitative planning models, especially water resources planning. The approach uses Bayesian statistical analysis in order to capture the uncertainties and variability that are inherent in socio-ecological systems.
